The JEWEL Women’s Ministry
The JEWEL Women’s Ministry focuses on ministering to women in a holistic manner, beginning with spirit and adding to that body, mind and soul. The purpose of this ministry is to perpetuate generations of Godly women (Titus 2: 4-5). PowerTalk is a monthly forum for women’s ministry aimed at discussing important matters pertaining to relationships, motherhood, family, finances and health. The Women's ministry also sponsors a weekend conference with guest speakers and teachers from across the country.
Men’s Ministry
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17). The Men’s Ministry focuses on strengthening men, young and old, to stand up and be who God has called them to be. Through this ministry, men are encouraged and empowered to take their rightful places as leaders, husbands, fathers, mentors, providers and most importantly servants of the living God. This ministry meets monthly for dinner and heart to heart discussions. Each year a men’s conference is sponsored to highlight issues that pertain to men.
Married Couples Ministry (MCM)
“Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled.” (Hebrews 13:4). MCM endeavors to divorce proof our church through the power of God. Their aim is to help married couples understand God’s divine intention in marriage and strengthen their relationships. MCM hosts an annual weekend retreat for couples. They also sponsor date nights, family picture days, and chat and chew discussions throughout the year.
Kidz 4 Him Children's Ministry
Kidz 4 Him Children's Ministry gives the children of New Life a solid spiritual foundation in a way that is fun and exciting. Their mission is to promote spiritual and natural growth so that each child is equipped and empowered to make changes in their lives and the lives that are around them.
Kidz of Zion Nursery Ministry
Kidz of Zion Nursery Ministry meets the needs of toddlers and young children, and promotes spiritual development, learning, and a nurturing environment that caters to their learning styles and abilities.
Worship and Sacred Arts Ministry
The Worship and Sacred Arts Department displays the glory, splendor and creativity of God through the performing arts. It is the intention of this ministry to communicate that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. The department is comprised of three extensions. The music ministry includes The Levites, The New Life Cathedral Sanctuary Choir, and The New Life Cathedral Youth Choir.
Evangelism Ministry
Our mission is to fulfill the Great Commission, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” (Matthew 28:19). The Evangelism Ministry labors to reach the lost at any cost through events and activities such as prayer tables, tract attacks, community festivals and special services.
Media Ministry
The purpose of the Media Ministry is to provide the vehicle to take God’s message to our visually driven, ever-changing world through the use of technology and media (e.g., television, radio, video tapes, audio tapes, DVD, CD, etc.). Their core mission is to be empowered and led by the Holy Spirit to provide audio and video support to the church and all ministries in order to enhance and edify the worship of God and also reach individuals who may never step into the church building. Thus, fulfilling God’s mandate for the Church by “ Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature..”
Community, Care and Concern Ministry
The mission of “Community Concern and Care” Ministry is to be an effective agent of compassion, concern and care by seeking to meet the practical, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of people living within the East New York and Brownsville communities.
